Over half way through my assignments to become a qualified real estate agent and I have discovered that trust and care in the professional real estate relationship are crucial to provide a good service which follows the real estate laws. I'm reassured by this because I do not want to just be a sales person. I have had too many years working in the community sector to disown my caring nature which has been trained to identify peoples needs and assist them with finding the supports that can help them.I have also worked in the mortgage and insurance sectors so I think I have a good balance of sales and marketing experience to balance things out.
I have decided that my niche in real estate will be assisting older people to sell and buy homes. They may want to sell their large home to downsize or move into a retirement village. I have been a Age Concern Field Officer and have worked with the elderly facing these changes and know that it can be particularly difficult to cope on thier own. Even family helping have a complex task becuase often their parents don't want to move, but need to. I know,my own Mother made it very difficult and it was important to me to be able to trust the real estate who managed the sale of her home.
